Electromagnetic current meters.-In electrical indicating or measuring instruments, a single piece of material is used to provide separate paths forming an operating-coil and a shunt, the shunt portion b having no appreciable effect upon the operating - field produced by the portion a. The two paths are provided with terminals c at their junctions which may have sockets for connection with the external circuit. The single piece, preferably of copper, may be cast, pressed or stamped &c.
