Abstract

178,381. Ball, A. Aug. 25, 1921. Pots.-A strainer for teapots &c. is attached to or formed integral with a spring band which extends round the inside of the teapot and presses against it by its elasticity so as to hold the strainerin position against the orifice of the spout. In the form shown, the strainer b is attached to the band a by clips b<2>, and the band is bent inwards opposite the strainer as shown at a<2> to increase the pressure of the strainer against the wall of the pot and to leave a clear space for the liquid. Modifications are described in which the strainer is formed integral with the band, or a helical spring is arranged between them.
