Leathers or sweat bands; ventilating. - In a hat of the type in which the sweat band is spaced from the interior wall, a flexible band 10 of resi. lient material, such as elastic webbing, is held in a floating position between the interior wall 8 of the hat and the sweat band 17, but indepen. dently of the sweat band, by connecting means extending around the whole periphery of the hat. As shown, the connecting means comprise threads or stitches 9 extending radially from the wall of the hat and attached to the centre of the flexible band.
