Continuous apparatus for developing and like treatment; revolving holders for roll films.- Relates to the development of long films by rolling the film into a coil with interspaces for the circulation of developer &c. from the edges, and consists in means for exerting pressure in an axial direction on opposite sides of the coil to prevent displacement of the turns of the coil. In the form shown, the film 1 having an interspacing strip 3 is wound on a composite hub, the parts 7 of which are separable and carry spokes 6, preferably rubber-covered, secured by rubber rings 8', the whole forming a cage which prevents movement of the turns of the coil in an axial direction. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), comprises also (1) detail improvements in the apparatus above described, (2) an interspacing strip of absorbent material, or of celluloid having corrugated edges and coated with chemical materials for treating the film, and (3) an apparatus for developing one or more such films in which a film or set of films is carried on a support which may be rotated to bring each film into position successively over, and lowered to depress it into, any one of a ring of baths containing developer &c., these baths being provided with nozzles for forcing the various liquids through the film, or with means for turning the drum carrying the film during its immersion.
