Abstract

174,394. Jones, J. R., May, T. J., and Williams, T. Sept. 13, 1920. Candle-holders.-A tube B of a length greater than its diameter and formed with air and grease apertures D, C is provided in the sockets of candlesticks to assist in firmly supporting the candle and for supporting the wick, when the candle has burned down, until all the grease is consumed. The tube is formed with a sharpened upper edge to pierce the candle. In a modified form, shown in Fig. 2, the tube B is provided with a base-plate, which may be applied to the candle before insertion in the candle stick or may be dropped in or secured at a suitable height in the socket. According to the Provisional Specification, the tube is conical and is fixed half-way down the socket, which is also conical.
