Abstract

173,891. Crittall, V. G., and Crittall Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Oct. 12, 1920. Casement-fasteners, cockspur-type. -The catch-plates of metal-frame casement windows, made from stampings, castings, or of wire, are formed with integral studs, preferably located at the ends, the studs being inserted in holes in the frames and riveted by submitting the plates to hammering or to pressure, the plates being simultaneously formed to any desired shape. Fig. 2 shows a catch-plate B made of wire flattened to form a wedge and provided with a shoulder D under which the catch E, pivoted on the window, engages.
