Lift valves.-In a screwdown bib-cock, a rightangled inlet elbow pipe H is screwed at both ends and is provided with a raised and rounded seating G at its upper end, of smaller diameter than the pipe. The upper part of the casing is screwed directly on to the inlet elbow, as shown; the valve jumper and spindle are of ordinary construction.
