Explosives.-In order to reduce or prevent metallic fouling of gun barrels, tin dioxide or other derivative of tin with or without a lead derivative in finely subdivided form is disseminated through a mass of propellent explosive, preferably during the step of colloiding the nitrocellulose. Other usual ingredients such as diphenylamine, nitroglycerine, nitro compounds, and graphite may also be added. Specification 150,299 is referred to.
