Bolts.-The head of a bolt adapted to be passed through the work without removing the nut is formed by a wedge 14 located in a tapered slot 12 in the bolt stem 10. When inserting the bolt, the wedge is retracted within the slit and, after insertion, the bolt is turned to allow the wedge to fall bv gravity and project beyond the stem to provide a head or abutment.
