Abstract

153,230. Burt, J. J. W., and Jones, D. T. April 12, 1920. Covers for bolts &c.-To prevent withdrawal of a wood-screw after insertion, the head is made in two parts b, f, the lower part h being provided with a notch for the driver and with an inverted taper hole to receive the split stem of the part f. After the screw has been driven, the stem of the part f is inserted in the hole in the part b and expanded therein by means of a wedge g, the part f thus covering the driver notch. The part f may be suitably ornamented.
