Abstract

171,006. Paine, F. G. Sept. 14,1920. Tread bands.-A tread band comprises rubber sections 1, Fig. 1, preferably cut from a discarded cover, connected by metal links 5. The links 5, Fig. 3, have one narrow end 8 passing through a slot in the wide end 9 of the next link. The ends of the links are bent so that the sections 1 are gripped in the manner shown. An adjusting-screw may be used in the chains of links.
