169,366. Marshall, J. C., and Sutcliffe, F. Aug. 13, 1920. Manures.-A meat extract for use as food for animals is prepared by boiling horse or cattle flesh in a pan heated by a steam jacket or coil until the soluble juices and constituents are extracted, removing the solid residue, introducing a further quantity of flesh and again boiling. This operation is repeated from four to six times. The meat residue may be used as manure.
