168,735. Fowler & Co. (Leeds), Ltd., J., Robinson, J., and Hodgson, H. July 9, 1920. Slipping-preventing attachments to wheels.- In tractor wheels of the type which comprise a metal rim a<1>, either plain or faced with crossbars, in combination with an auxiliary rim e at one or both sides carrying sectional tyres f of rubber or relatively soft material and of normally greater dimeter than the metal rim, packing- members g are provided for insertion between the rim e and the tyre sections when the latter have worn down to an ineffective depth. The packing-members may be of steel, wood, rope, or other material. The tyre sections are secured by radial bolts f<1>, those at the junctions of the sections having large heads f<4> to bridge the spaces formed by packing out the worn sections.
