Sparking-plugs.-One of the electrodes is bifurcated so as to provide two arms, each of which is of substantially uniform sectional area. If the earthed electrode is bifurcated, the undivided portion may be of rectangular cross-section having its longer side extending circumferentially of the shell, or may be of circular cross-section; and in either case may be welded in position. The electrode may be formed by slitting a blank and separating the slit portions, by stamping to shape with the arms already separated, or by flattening, slitting; and separating the end of a round rod.
