Abstract

Contents, facilitating access to; lids; powder distributors.-The flanged cover of a container for tooth-powder &c. is formed with an aperture to facilitate access to the contents without removing the lid. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the aperture is closed by a slide 5 moving parallel to the top of the cover and guided as shown along the edges 4 of the aperture. In the construction shown in Fig. 4, a drawer 8 is arranged to slide through the aperture, perpendicular to the plane of the cover, the powder &c. being accessible through the open top of the drawer, when withdrawn. In both forms the aperture terminates short of the edges of the lid.
