Abstract

167,639. Krahn, O. F. June 9, 1920. Ironing-boards, tables, and like work supports.-In a combined table and ironing board of the kind in which the ironing board is normally carried beneath the table when not in use and projects from the table when required, the board 25 is adjustably connected to spaced blocks 29 mounted on a pivot 32 which slides in slots 23, with inclined portions 24, in the side rails 19 of a compartment beneath the table top 14. Pivotally mounted on the pin 32 is a leg or prop 33, Fig. 7, having split ends 34 with wearing plates 35 and secured together by a bolt 36. When the board 25 is withdrawn from beneath the table, it abuts against the edge of the table top and is held in an horizontal position by a stay 39 pivoted thereto and engaging a notch 40 in the prop 33. If desired, a sleeve board 44 may be mounted on the board 25 by the engagement of a head 44 with a slot in the board, a hook 46 engaging one of the wear strips 42, 43 and securing the board 44 in position.
