Abstract

258,737. Creese, W. Oct. 10, 1925. Appliances for taking off.- A foldable boot jack has a footboard 1 with a bifurcation 8 for the reception of the rear part of the foot, the opposite sides of the bifurcation being bevelled, so that the upper side of the orifice is smaller than the lower, as in Fig. 3. The boot jack may be made in two or more sections connected by a hinge 3, Fig. 4, of the butt type so that when opened out the board will be rigid for use with or without locking means such as a catch or bolt. The boot jack may have a supporting flint 4, Fig. 1, hinged to the board 1 so as to be foldable flatwise.
