Moulds.-The sides t, u, v, w of a mould for concrete blocks &c. are arranged to move simultaneously by mounting them on slides l, m, n, o, which are moved radially in guides d, f, h, k and c, e, g, i, by engagement with scroll-like cams 7 formed on a rotary disc 11 located beneath the mould. The cams may be resilient, or springs may be interposed between each slide and the corresponding side. Removable pallets 15 are furnished with gripping-recesses and detachable formers, and division plates may be used in order to mould blocks of different sizes and shapes. The Provisional Specification states that instead of a cam device, the disc may have a series of crankpins connected directly or indirectly to the sides, by links, or connecting-rods.
