Field carriages.-Relates to carriages having divided trail beams E, Fig. 7, pivoted to a gun support A which is fixed to or slidable on the wheel axle B, the beams being connected by linkage to ensure equal pivotal movements in opposite directions and thereby permit the anchoring devices to adapt themselves to uneven ground. The invention consists in pivoting the beams on an axis F disposed parallel to and rearward of the wheel axle, so that the anchoring-devices rise and fall in planes at right-angles to the axle.
