Abstract

166,094. PotiÚ, L. G. A. July 9, 1920, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Pulping-engines.-Apparatus for disintegrating paper-making material comprises an immersion chamber 1 provided with numerous beater arms 5 and fed by a hopper 2 of its own length and having a water spray pipe 3. The operating- chamber 7 is of increasing diameter towards a large outlet 11, and is provided with helicoidal ribs 8, which are inclined in the direction to assist the passage of material through the disintegrator and have teeth diamond shaped at their points and diminishing in size from the inlet to the outlet of the apparatus. The mixing-arms of the chamber 7 are tipped with turned-over pieces.
