Belts; chain-wheels.-In a chain-belt for transmitting drive between a sprocket-wheel e and a V-pulley, pads a of leather &c. are attached to the base as well as to the sides of an ordinary cl:ain b by wires f embedded in the leather as shown in Figs. 2 or 3. The recesses between the teeth of the sprocket-wheel are deepened to admit the leather on the base of the chain.
