Abstract

164,868. Dickson, L. W. E. March 19, 1920. Spring devices. - In a spring fork for motor-cycles, an horizontal spring C extending forwardly from the top of the steering-stem D is attached at its front end to the upper end of the fork girders 1, and two vertical springs A extending downwards from the lower end of the stem are arranged to slide within swivelling sockets M carried by the girdens, the arrangement being such that, on the withdrawal of the bolt G, the fork girders and the wheel can be disconnected, leaving the springs upon the frame. A link N may be fitted on each side of the spring C to provide an auxiliary connection between the casting E and the bolt G.
