Abstract

164,537. Tonery, W. J. March 19, 1920. Supports for motor-cycles are retained in inoperative position by a device consisting of a casting or steel drop forging 2 which is attached to the mud-guard and provided with a hollow boss 4 and a recess 5 at right-angles thereto, the boss being fitted with a spring-pressed ball 7 or a round-nosed plunger protruding into the recess to engage with the cross - bar 6 of the support. A screwthreaded plug 10 provides for the adjustment of the pressure of the spring 9.
