Bodies.-In a vehicle body in which the frame members are mainly of wood, the frame includes one or more metal hoops lying vertically in a transverse plane, each completely encircling the body of the vehicle and each covered and supported on its front and rear faces by wooden strips. Each hoop comprises two upright members 13, Fig. 3, and roof and floor members 14, 15 joined at the corners by gussets 16. The members 13, 14, 15 are formed of sheet or other metal and are cased in with wooden strips 18, 19, 20 respectively as shown particularly in Fig. 4. Specification 12953/15 is referred to.
