Abstract

In the manufacture of the finest threads from a raw viscose solution by a drawing-out process, the concentration of the acid in the precipitating-bath (consisting of a more or less strongly acid solution of a salt such as an alkali or alkali earth sulphate), is regulated so as to be inversely proportional to the fineness of the finished thread.
