162,398. Black, G. J. F., and Thornewill & Warham (1919), Ltd. Jan. 30, 1920. Centrifugal governors. - In a steam-driven winding-engine, a governor of the kind described in Specification 911/12, having two or more coiled springs 3, 4, 5 adapted to come into action successively, is used in combination with trip mechanism and valve gear, whereby every alteration in speed is accompanied by a corresponding alteration of the setting of the valve, so that the period of steam admission undergoes a decreasing reduction as the speed of the engine increases.
