Abstract

171,655. Hunter, H. April 16, 1921. Stop-gear.-A rod s actuating the throttle is locked in the closed position, if the speed rises to an excessive degree, by a latch q dropping into a notch w. The governor-actuated rod normally rocks a link m, actuating the throttle-rod, about a pivot m<1>, until a stop v meets an abutment u. The link m is then rocked about the pivot t<1>.
