Abstract

162,069. Turner, H. Jan. 21, 1920. Clips, band.-In a clip for hose pipes &c., a screw lever 13, with integral handle 14, works in a cylindrical nut 11 carried on a link 10 secured to one end of a band, and is rotatably pivoted on a pin 8 carried in sockets 7 formed on the other end of the band. The band, adapted to pass nearly twice round the tube. is formed with a relatively wide part at one end 4, having a circumferential aperture through which passes a narrow tongue, formed as a prolongation of the wide part and having its end 5 bifurcated and formed into the sockets 7. In operation, the lever is adjusted in the nut 11 and swung over in the direction indicated by the arrow, whereupon the band may be further tightened by rotating the lever.
