Alarms operated by fusible devices. - Relates to temperature alarms of the type comprising a closed cartridge containing a fusible mass which melts at a predetermined temperature to effect the closing of an electric circuit, the cartridge being adapted for repeated use by simply reversing it after the solidification of the fused mass. The cartridge 5 is of conducting metal, and the fusible mass 7 is of insulating-material and supports a lead or other cylinder 4, which, on the fusion of the mass 7, drops and makes contact with the lower of two contact pins 1 passing through insulating closing-plugs 2, 3 in the ends of the cartridge. The cylinder 4 is provided with contact springs 6 adapted to slide on the inner walls of the cartridge. The cartridge 5 is supported in a perforated casing by a conducting clip connected to one terminal of the alarm circuit, the bottom pin 1 being connected to the other terminal through a contact spring.
