Moulds.-A machine for moulding bricks, blocks, &c. comprises a frame a, Fig. 2, with a table a<1> for supporting a removable board on which the bricks &c. are moulded, and mov. able L-shaped pieces c, d, each of which constitutes an end and side of the mould and carries tapering division pieces c<1>, d<1>, Fig. 4, for separating the bricks y. As shown, the pieces c, dare formed with, or carried by, arms e, f mounted by pivots e<1>, f<1> on the frame, and are pressed towards one another by springs, or by adjustably weighted arms i, whilst the plastic material is pressed into the moulds. Simultaneous movement of the arms is effected by a chain or cable h passing over drums g thereon, and a hand lever or a pivoted foot-lever k linked by rod k<2> and cable k<3> is provided to separate the pieces c, d so that the board with the moulded bricks may be removed bodily.
