Abstract

157,863. Halpern, M. Sept. 2, 1913, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Protectors, securing.-Renewable heel lifts b, Fig. 4, are secured by screws j, Fig. 7, to a metal plate h which slidingly engages a flanged metal part d, Fig. 5, on the permanent heel. The plate h is locked by two pivoted curved sliding bolts o which work in grooves p in the plate h and engage slots g in fillets f attached to the part d on the upper heel. The bolts are operated by a slide m and a handle n which is accommodated in a recess in the heel and protected by a sliding plate q.
