Abstract
157,212. International Paper Co., (Assignees of White, A. H.). May 29, 1915, [Convention date]. Drying.-Moisture is removed from the pookets 8 between the felts 4, 6 and the drying-cylinders of the paper machine by means of dry air supplied by blast pipes 9 directed between the paper web 3 and the felts, and by suction pipes 10. The air currents so produced travel in opposition to the motion of the adjacent paper web. The respective pipes are connected to a fan 12 provided with an air washer 14 and heater 15 by which means air is continuously circulated.
