Anchoring.-Airships are anchored in direct contact with the ground at a point on the keel frame or front gondola below the front part of the airship. Fig. 1 shows an airship having a bracket c at its fore part pivotally secured to a baulk of timber or metal rail h anchored in the ground. The elevator of the airship is set to keep the rear end raised.
