Enlarging, copying, and reducing.-Relates to automatic focusing projection apparatus of the kind described in Specification 156,224, in which the lens slide 13 is automatically adjusted as the angular position of the link work carrying frame 2 is altered to vary the scale of reproduction, by means of a pinion 22 having an arm 25 with a cam slot 26 engaged by a pin 31 carried by one of the links 2. According to the invention, in order to provide for lenses of different focal lengths without having to provide interchangeable arms 25 with different cam slots, the pinion 22 has a slot 21 and an eccentric pin 23, and the slotted arm 25 is adjustably mounted on the pinion according to the focal length of the lens used, being clamped by a nut 29 and held against lateral movement at the inner end by the plate 28. The arm 15 carrying the pin 31 engaging the cam slot 26 is adjustably mounted on the link 2 by the quadrant arm 17 and clamping-nut 18. The form of the cam slot may be computed or experimentally determined. Where the focal length of the lens is unknown, the arms 25 and 15 can be set in turn by focusing in two different positions, adjusting the initial position of the rack 14, lens slide 13 and pinion 22 to allow the range of movement required.
