Abstract

The spring drive mechanism exhibits a driveshaft (6, 9) a switching spring (7) surrounding the driveshaft (6, 9) and a hollow shaft (11) surrounding the switching spring (7) and driveshaft (6), which hollow shaft carries at least one cam disc (21) for operating the contacts of the switch. One end of the switching spring (7) is firmly connected to the driveshaft (6) and the other end is connected to the hollow shaft (11). A device is provided in order to rotate the hollow shaft (11) in each case by a certain angle under influence of the energy stored in the switching spring (7) by the driveshaft (6) and, in doing so, to operate the switching contacts. This device consists of a non-rotatable hollow cylinder (15) which extends coaxially in one end of the hollow shaft (11) and exhibits two axially offset wall holes, each of which contains a ball (17, 18) which can be axially moved by means of a coupling shaft (20) in such a manner that one of the balls (17) is partially pressed out of the hollow cylinder (15) and then stops a rib (33) on the inner wall of the hollow shaft (11) in such a manner that the hollow shaft (11) can only be rotated over a certain angle. <IMAGE>
