Abstract

An electrical switch wherein the body 11 of the switch rotatably supports a rotor 17 for movement about a first axis and carrying an electrical contact 19 slidably engageable selectively with fixed electrical contacts 34 - 36 and moved by an operating lever 26, arranged in such a manner that its rotation about its own longitudinal axis moves the rotor 17 while angular movement of the lever 26 also moves the rotor. The lever 26 has three detent located rotational positions, and two detented angular positions. The arrangement is such that in the three rotational positions with the lever 26 in its first angular position then the movable contact 19 is respectively, clear of the contacts in engagement with the contact 34, and in engagement with the contacts 34 and 35. However, with the lever 26 in its second angular position, the movable contact 19 is respectively, clear of the contacts in engagement with the contacts 34 and 35, and in engagement with the contacts 34 and 36. <IMAGE>
