Abstract

The setting tool serves to drive nails and suchlike fastening elements (5) into receiving material (36). A driving piston (4) is accelerated forwards in a cylinder (1) by the sudden supply of compressed air and drives in the fastening element (5). So as not to hinder the advance of the driving piston (4), outflow openings (33) are provided which open during the working stroke and through which the air located in front of the driving piston (4) is discharged. <IMAGE>
