Abstract

155,093. Caterpillar Tractors, Ltd., (Holt Manufacturing Co.). Nov. 6, 1919. Endless-track vehicles.-The main frame is supported on the front trucks by means of a transverse pivoted laminated spring the ends of which slide freely on the trucks, pivoted connecting links being provided between the trucks and the central pivoted connexion of the spring with the frame. The main frame 10 is supported by a longitudinal pivot 22 passing through a ball or cylindrical member 24 journaled in a clip or saddle 25 secured to the spring 14. A rocking arm 21 is also secured to the spring by the saddle 25 and is provided with pivoted links 19 connected at their outer ends by ball and socket joints 15 with the trucks 12. The joints 15 have apertured extensions 18 taking the ends of the spring 4.
