Abstract

1537325 Electrophotography MITSUBISHI DENKI KK 5 March 1976 [5 March 1975] 08875/76 Heading B6C In a copying machine of the kind in which an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photo- conductive drum, by simultaneously charging and imagewise exposing, and is subsequently transferred on to a web on which it is developed and fixed, residual charge is removed by a shielded ion source the shield of which together with the photoconductive drum are both connected to a bias means that maintains them at a common potential having a polarity opposite to that of the charge applied to the drum when forming the latent image.
