Abstract

1536773 Water closet BLAKE & SONS (GOSPORT) Ltd 12 May 1977 [21 May 1976] 21178/76 Heading E1C In a W.C. (e.g. for use on a ship) which is evacuated by a pump and wherein the pumping action produces a partial vacuum in the bowl to suck flushing water into the bowl through an inlet, the gaps between the lid 4, seat 3 and the bowl are sealed by respective annular seals 24 of generally quadrilateral cross-section with two sides forming an acute angle pointing inwardly of the annulus and received in a complementarily shaped groove 23 in e.g. the lid, the diagonally opposite corner having a flexible sealing lip 29.
