Abstract

The photosensitive colour-photographic multilayer material contains, assigned to at least one silver-halide emulsion layer, two non-diffusing DIR compounds which, as a consequence of a coupling reaction with oxidised colour developer, liberate a diffusing mercapto compound which inhibits the development of the silver halide, or one DIR compound in two different dispersion forms. Either the two DIR compounds or the two dispersion forms differ in reactivity (keff) by a factor of more than 1.5. This enables the gradation form of the silver-halide layer to be adjusted in a targeted manner using only two DIR compounds of different reactivity or even using only a single such compound.
