Abstract

1536218 Valves KUBOTA Ltd 5 Aug 1976 32746/76 Heading F2V In a valve having an open-ended sleeve 24 movable in a valve body with a plurality of discharge ports 28 therethrough, the lower end 40 of the sleeve is inclined and abuts with line contact the outside edge of the upper inclined surface 44 of a seat 46 secured to the lower end of the body. The seat is secured with the interposition of a gasket 42 on a bottom cover 30 which is provided with a drain tube 52 through which dirt deposits may be flushed. The valve is secured within a pressure reducing chamber having an outlet (18) and is actuated by an electric motor (26) having a rod extending through the wall of an inlet elbow (10). The chamber may have a by-pass connection (66) with the inlet elbow and valves (58, 62, 68, 70) may be provided to allow reverse cleaning flow through the discharge apertures and into the drain tube 52.
