Abstract

1535582 Supplying power to remote locations INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 3 March 1976 [3 March 1975] 08470/76 Heading H4R High frequency electrical energy, e.g. for recharging local supply batteries or maintaining required temperatures, is fed over a multi-conductor cable, the conductors of which are carrying respective low frequency signals, by connecting terminals 1 and 2 of the energy source G to bundles of conductors located in respective concentric layers B and D, via capacitors C 1.1 to C 1.x and C 2.1 to C 2.x individual to the conductors, in the manner of a phantom circuit. The load V is connected to the other end of the conductors via capacitor C 3.1 to C 3.x and C 4.1 to C 4.x . High frequency networks N1 and N2 may be provided between the generator G and the conductors and between the load V and the conductors to improve isolation.
