Abstract
The material consists essentially of an elastomer which can flow when cold, is resistant to coronas and has 350 to 600 parts per hundred elastomer parts of a semiconductor material, and up to 10 parts per 100 elastomer parts of a stabiliser. The material is used in the form of an insert (11) in order to suppress interference, caused by coronas, on the connecting part of an insulated and screened cable. <IMAGE>
