1533743 Magnesia-chrome bricks VEITSCHER MAGNESITWERKE ACTIEN GES 13 Jan 1976 [20 Jan 1975] 01243/76 Heading C1J A process for the manufacture of fired moulded bodies comprises moulding and firing at a temperature of 1400 to 1650‹ C. a mixture of 60-95 parts by weight of magnesia, 40 to 5 parts by weight of chrome ore and from 1-10% by weight based on the mixture of an addition rich in magnesium silicate and consisting of serpentine, talc and/or olivine, the magnesia having a CaO content in percentage by weight of at least 0À5+1À87S where S is the SiO 2 content of the magnesia in per cent by weight and an Fe 2 O 3 content of at least 2% by weight, and the addition rich in magnesium silicate having a grain size below 4 mm. with the proportion of the addition below 0À2 mm. being at most 30% by weight of the amount of the addition.
