1533185 Heating yarns ERNST MICHALKE & CO 21 July 1977 [21 July 1976] 30673/77 Heading D1F Heat treatment apparatus, for a running yarn, thread &c., consists of a metal block 1, heatable by a liquid in a device 8 or electrically, with (a) guide channel(s) 2 and a readily replaceable, inserted shaped part 3 which when inserted has a cross-sectional shape e.g. semi-circular or elliptical, corresponding largely to that of the channel to ensure effective heat transfer contact therebetween. In addition each part 3 has sides 5, 6, formed as lugs whereby it is pressed resiliently into channel 2 by means of a retaining groove 4 and a (screw) clamping device 7, which may cooperate with a rail 9.
