Abstract

1532023 Lead salt + inorganic flame retardant granules as polymer additive ASSOCIATED LEAD MFRS Ltd and P S COFFIN 19 Aug 1977 [24 Sept 1976] 39792/76 Addition to 1255267 Heading C3L A stabilizer for vinyl resins consists of a powdered basic lead salt of an inorganic acid plus an inorganic flame retardant, both components being bound into granules by a gelled mixture of a lubricating stabilizer and an organic liquid which is a stabilizer or extruder for polyvinyl chloride. In the examples, polyvinyl chloride is stabilized using basic lead sulphate, granulated with, as the fire retardant, Sb 2 O 3 ; and with calcium and lead stearates, diphenylol propane, paraffin wax and Cerechor (Registered Trade Mark).
