Abstract

1531132 Brackets; hanging garments HOPE WORKS Ltd 11 May 1976 [21 June 1975] 26448/75 Headings A4B and A4U In an assembly of one or more brackets (which may comprise a hat and coat hook 10 and/or 11, a shelf support 30, or a label holder) and a support therefor the bracket (as shown in Fig. 1 and a hook) is provided at its rear end with a recess 19 (or 20) with a pair of sides 21, 22 which are mutually divergent from the mouth of the recess and the support comprises a rail having of sides 13, 14 (and/ or 15, 16) with are mutually convergent from a surface 17 (or 18) inter-connecting the sides 13, 14, the surface 17 having a width which is greater than that of the mouth of the recess and the angle between the sides 21, 22 of the recess 19 being less than the angle between the sides 13, 14 of the support whereby the bracket 10 is fitted over the support rail by tilting the bracket to engage over the corner defined by the side 13 and surface 17 of the support rail and then pivoting the bracket to its operative position in which it is locked by a set screw 23 threadedly engaged in the bracket 10. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown) a single hat and coat hook is mounted on a block (25) secured to a wall. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the support rail 32 is upright and a shelf support bracket 30 is secured at any height by a set screw 35.
