Abstract

1530284 Pipe supports BERCON ENG Ltd 11 May 1976 [16 May 1975] 20826/75 Heading F2P A pipe support comprises a pipe seating body 4 moulded from a heat insulating material; the body being adapted with pipe fastening means 16 and mounting support means 14 formed from a material differing from that of the body. As shown, a moulded body 4 of glassfibre reinforced inert filler with polyester resin or ceramics material is adapted via two part strap means 16, e.g. of stainless steel, aluminium, P.V.C. to receive and retain a pipe, and is in use slidable on the ground via plastics pads 14 moulded with the block alternatively, the block may be adapted via base mounting plate, e.g. of mild steel aluminium to be secured to the ground. As a second alternative, the straps may be replaced by plates bolted at respective first ends to the block and adapted at respective second ends to be welded to a pipe.
