Frame components, sections and forms of, and applying and combining. -In a motor-car chassis consisting of a single central girder composed of a series of tubular parts 1 - - 4 each of which encloses a separate part of the driving and transmission mechanism, the parts being bolted together to form a rigid unitary member while permitting access to the driving mechanism for inspection and repairs, the frcnt section 5 has lugs in which are secured transverse leaf springs 6, 7 carrying at the ends brackets fixed to the journals of the front wheels, and to the rear casing 4 enclosing the differential gear are secured upper and lower transverse springs 13, 14 and 15, 16 with bracket members at their ends supporting the rear wheels. Transverse tubes 24, secured in sockets cast in casings 2, 3 containing respectively the change-speed gear and transmission shaft, support the floor 26 and dash-board 27. The seats 30 are supported by tubular members 28, 29. The car body 32 is mounted on these supports. The radiator 12 is supported on the casing 5 in front of the engine casing 1.
